Job description
Advanced Medical Assistant (AMA)Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate patient care in a clinical setting. This role supports healthcare delivery by assisting with patient management and clinical tasks tailored to the practice's needs.Essential Responsibilities:Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Provide reassurance, education, and clear guidance to patients.Ensure smooth healthcare service flow during patient visits by preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records.Support physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management. Facilitate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.Perform laboratory tests and assist with patient instruction to promote understanding of treatments and medication usage.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.This position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
