Job description
Role Overview:
The Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates nuclear medicine imaging equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
They ensure radiation safety, maintain high-quality imaging standards, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Operate specialized imaging equipment proficiently.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, including ALARA and NRC regulations.
Maintain accurate protocols and make necessary adjustments.
Prioritize patient care, safety, and effective communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine with clinical hours completed.
At least one year of relevant experience.
Licensure as required by state; NMTCB or ARRT (N); BLS certification.
Knowledge of biohazard safety, radiation safety, and protocols.
Strong decision-making, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks involving reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
