Your Responsibilities

Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans

Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians as needed or independently based on your credentials

Educating patients and families on wellness, disease prevention, and ongoing health management

Prescribing medications and therapies within your practice's guidelines

Engaging in follow-up and chronic care management for patients

Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications Required

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Louisiana

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or eligibility to obtain within 90 days)
