nNEW AFC URGENT CARE CLINIC COMING TO AURORA, CO, FALL 2023!!! We are excited to be opening a new AFC Urgent Care clinic in Aurora, CO! All training for this location will be done at two of our locations, in Castle Rock and SE Aurora (E-470 & S Gartrell Rd.), in the weeks leading up to the opening. We are seeking motivated self-starters to join our team. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly preferred to best serve the community; translation services will also be available in the clinic. nAFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.

nJob Summary

nThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved the agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.

nResponsibilities

nPerform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient

nFormulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician

nInstitute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions

nInterpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment

nProvide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/ significant others

nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned

nQualifications

nExcellent communicator with staff, patients, and family

nProfessional appearance and attitude

nANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)

nActive and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required

nAble to multi-task and work independently

nOccupational Health/WC Level 1 and/or DOT certification highly preferred; or ability to certify in both within 8 months of hire.

nAFC Urgent Care is currently recruiting a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work between our Castle Rock Clinic and SE Aurora Clinic. The ideal candidate is someone who passionately cares for providing high quality care to patients and enjoys the practice of medicine, while understanding the importance of having great bedside manners.

nCandidates should have at least one year of experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.

nCandidates will be expected to be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and major holidays.

nDOT Certification will be required as we provide services for Occ Med Patients.

nWorker's Compensation experience is preferred.

nActive and current DEA number and state controlled substance certificate with full prescriptive authority is required.

nFull-time, Part-time, and PRN opportunities available.
