Hospital-Based Cardiology NP / PA – 7 On/7 Off
Citrus Cardiology Consultants | Crystal River, FL | Full-Time Days
Join Citrus Cardiology Consultants in a dedicated inpatient role with a daytime, seven-on/seven-off schedule. This opportunity is entirely hospital-based, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
We’re seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work alongside attending cardiologists in Crystal River, Florida. You’ll evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions while collaborating with the hospital care team.
New graduates and experienced APPs are encouraged to apply. Training, mentorship, and supportive onboarding are available to help you build confidence and develop your cardiology skills.
Schedule and Practice Setting
Full-time inpatient cardiology
Seven consecutive days on, followed by seven days off
Day shifts
No outpatient clinic duties
Close collaboration with attending cardiologists
Your Clinical Responsibilities
Conduct hospital rounds and assess patients’ progress
Complete inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations
Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in partnership with cardiologists
Review EKGs, laboratory findings, imaging, and other diagnostic results
Develop and update individualized treatment plans
Explain diagnoses, medications, and care plans to patients and families
Coordinate treatment with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff
Maintain thorough and timely electronic medical records
What You’ll Bring
Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Florida licensure or eligibility to obtain it
A strong interest in cardiovascular medicine
Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to care
Previous cardiology, hospital medicine, or acute care experience is preferred but is not required. New graduate NPs and PAs are welcome.
