Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. nAFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.

nJob Summary

nThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved the agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.

nResponsibilities

nPerform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient

nFormulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician

nInstitute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions

nInterpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment

nProvide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/ significant others

nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned

nQualifications

nExcellent communicator with staff, patients, and family

nProfessional appearance and attitude

nANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred outside of clinical rotations)

nActive and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required

nAble to multi-task and work independently

nDOT Certification
