FTE: 0.6 to 1.0 (Flexible based on candidate interest and program needs)

We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and resilient Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our nationally recognized Neonatal Intensive Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Team.

nWhat You'll Do

nAs an APP within our NICU program, you will assume direct responsibility for the management of neonates with complex acute and chronic medical conditions across our regional network.

nDeliver Exceptional Clinical Care

nnnPerform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.

nnManage critically ill neonates across varying levels of acuity.

n

nnPerform advanced, life-saving procedures.

n

nnMonitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes to ensure the highest quality of care.

n

n nCollaborate Across a Regional Network

nnnPractice within a unique tiered NICU system spanning six institutions across the Pacific Northwest .

n

nnPartner closely with neonatologists, fellows, nursing teams, respiratory therapists, and subspecialty providers.

n

nnContribute to seamless, patient-centered care across Level II, III, and IV NICUs.

n

n nAdvance the Field of Neonatology

nnnParticipate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

n

nnContribute to education and mentorship opportunities.

n

nnHelp shape best practices and innovations in neonatal care.

nLevel IV NICU at Seattle Children's Main Campus

nOur 48-bed, state-of-the-art Level IV NICU provides care for the region's most medically complex newborns. Services include:

nnnExtracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)

n

nnTherapeutic Hypothermia

n

nnContinuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)

n

nnComprehensive surgical and medical neonatal care

n

n nIn this collaborative environment, APPs, fellows, and neonatologists share responsibility for patient care and clinical decision-making.

nEducation & Requirements

nFor Nurse Practitioners:

nMinimum of a master's degree specifically in a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.

nCurrent NNP Certification is required.

nFor Physician Assistants:

nGraduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.

nCurrent PA-C Certification is required.

nLicensure & Certifications

nWashington State Licensure (ARNP or PA-C).

nDEA Registration for the State of Washington.

nNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

nPALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required within 6 months of hire for those rotating through our Level IV NICU.

nCompensation Range

n$148,822.62 - $218,876 per year

nOff shift premium: 12% which would increase the total compensation for this role by an additional $17,858 to $26,265 per year.

nRelocation: Support available for qualified candidates

nNote: Compensation will be pro-rated based on final FTE.

nSalary Information

nThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

nThis compensation range is specific to Seattle, positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors .
