The ideal candidate will have experience in general Neurology will work collaboratively under the supervision of the physician and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
nThe Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy Cross Health is home to 8 Neurologists, 2 Neurosurgeons, 2 Interventional Neuroradiologists and 8 Advanced Practice Providers, providing a vast array of neurological services including multi-disciplinary clinics for ALS and Parkinson's Disease. Our service line also includes Neuro Critical Care, Interventional Spine and Pain, and an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. We are a Joint Commission certified Thrombectomy-capable stroke center.

nPosition Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in general Neurology and will work collaboratively under the supervision of the physician and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Position is for M-F office hours without call or weekends required.

nKey Responsibilities:
nnnConduct comprehensive Neurological assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
n
nnManage chronic conditions such as dementia, headaches disorders, movement disorders, radiculopathy, and peripheral nerve disease.
n
nnEvaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
n
nnOrder and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing
n
nnDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians
n
nnProvide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management
n
nnParticipate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
n
nnDocument all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
n
nnMaintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
n
nnNational Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
n
nnCurrent Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
n
nnBLS/ACLS
n
n nPreferred Skills:
