Job Summary
nAFC Urgent Care Southampton, a UCA-accredited urgent care clinic is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate is comfortable seeing patients of all ages and working independently as a sole provider. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.
nResponsibilities
nPerform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies
nAbility to interpret EKGs and give preliminary X-ray results
nExperience with suturing, wound care, I&D, and small procedures a must
nEnsure proper diagnosis, treatment, and management of minor illnesses and injuries
nAbility to work independently as a sole provider with the assistance of a Medical Assistant
nInstitute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
nInterpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management, and treatment
nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
nPer-Diem Position | Weekday shifts 8am - 8pm | Weekend Shifts 8am - 5pm
nQualifications ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
nActive and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
nBLS Certification
nDOT Certification preferred or willing to obtain
nExcellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
nProfessional appearance and attitude
