Advanced Practice Provider – House Officer
St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine's is located on the north shore of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of a 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Advanced Practice Provider Responsibilities:
Provides and manages continuous, medical care service to patients under direct consultation with the Hospitalist MD, and in collaboration with the private medical attending as indicated
Offers services to designated patients in the Emergency Department, inpatient and short stay service
Provides full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services
Assumes full service to unassigned patients, as directed by the Hospitalist MD. Responds to the requests of the nursing staff as required to ensure patient care and safety
NP must maintain current collaborative practice agreement with a designated member of the medical staff. PA's performance of all job duties must be supervised by a designated supervising physician
Advanced Practice Provider Qualifications:
NYS Certified RN – NP (Nurse Practitioner) or NYS Certified PA (Physician Assistant). Trained in adult medicine.
ACLS & BLS certified
Experience in patient case management required; hospital experience preferred
Starting from USD $94.60/Hr.
