Psych Nurse Manager – Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health New York City | $95,000–$110,000 | Full-Time | Primarily Monday–Friday
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a leadership opportunity where you can mentor clinical staff, improve patient care, and help strengthen nursing operations? A mission-driven healthcare organization in New York City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership to its nursing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with leadership experience who enjoys staff development, medication management, clinical quality, and creating consistent standards of care.
Full-time, permanent position
Primarily Monday–Friday
Some local travel between programs required
As the Registered Nurse Manager, you'll oversee nursing operations while providing leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing staff.
Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to nursing staff Help maintain consistent nursing standards across programs Monitor appropriate medication administration, storage, documentation, and inventory processes Provide clinical guidance and support when patient-care concerns arise Partner with medical providers and clinical leadership on patient-care needs Review nursing documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance Conduct routine reviews of clinical and nursing practices Support quality-improvement and risk-reduction initiatives Assist with regulatory and compliance readiness Help develop and implement clinical policies and procedures Educate nursing staff on clinical protocols, documentation, medication safety, and best practices Support the onboarding and training of new clinical staff Help create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-quality patient care
Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Several years of professional nursing experience Previous experience in a Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or similar nursing leadership role Experience supervising and developing nursing staff Experience with clinical documentation, quality standards, and healthcare compliance Comfortable working collaboratively with medical, behavioral health, and operational teams Ability to travel locally between assigned NYC programs
