Job description
Are you a dedicated healthcare professional with expertise in Orthopedic and Interventional Pain Management? We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to join our dynamic team at Medicus Spine & Joint. Responsibilities
Conducting thorough examinations of patients and reviewing their medical records
Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests such as blood tests and Xrays
Proposing effective treatments for chronic pain and injuries
Prescribing medications and overseeing patient medication management
Maintaining accurate records and schedules
Informing patients about their injuries and recommended treatments
Promoting good health practices among patients
Advancing professional knowledge through research and discourse
Skills
Proven experience as a NP/PA in a clinic, hospital, ER, or similar setting
Expertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic care practices
Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
Excellent communication skills with strong ethics
Team spirit and a positive attitude
Patience and coolheadedness, especially in challenging situations
Commitment to continuing education and gaining clinical experience
Necessities
Candidates for this position must have a working knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions, with proficiency in spinal pathology, including the management of herniated discs, radiculopathy, facet-mediated pain syndromes, medication management, and physical therapy oversight. Additionally, experience and proficiency with joint injections, trigger point injections, PRP, Regenerative Medicine, and IV supplementation are necessary. There is also a possibility for cosmetic injection implementation in our facility in the future.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working collaboratively with alternative health practitioners and reviewing MRI findings with patients.
