Job description

Advanced Systems Engineer (Finance)

Honeywell Flight Systems team develops state-of-the-art flight controls for multiple aircraft types, including Air Transport, and Regional (ATR), Business, Regional and General Aviation (BRGA), Electric Vertical Take Off & Land (eVTOL), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), and other aircraft types.

This position will be located in Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley) within the Flight Systems (FS) department working primarily on the BRGA EPIC/APEX Flight Controls programs. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Program Manager , and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in the design, development, testing and certification of flight control systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the development of flight control systems, ensuring their safety, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Your technical expertise in systems engineering and technical leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system requirements, ensuring they are well-defined, complete, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle

Develop and execute test plans, analyze test results, and drive corrective actions

Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards

Support the certification process for flight controls systems

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years experience in systems engineering

Experience with flight controls design and integration

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations

Knowledge of aircraft certification processes

Have previous flight controls experience
