The Social Publication
Know your community. Help it grow.
Enjoy meeting people, making connections, and getting to know local businesses? The Social Publication is looking for an Advertising Director to help businesses connect with readers through our community magazine.
You’ll work directly with business owners, develop lasting client relationships, and build a book of business in the community you know.
About The Social Publication
We’re a local magazine built around the people who make a community feel like home. Our pages feature neighbors, business owners, local events, and organizations making a difference.
From a family’s story to a favorite neighborhood business, we help readers discover the people and places around them. Our advertisers are part of that experience, connecting with residents through a publication that celebrates where they live.
What you’ll do
As Advertising Director, you’ll introduce local businesses to The Social Publication, learn what they want to accomplish, and help them choose advertising that fits their goals.
Your work will include finding prospective advertisers, starting conversations, presenting advertising options, and following up to earn their business. You’ll also stay connected with your clients, helping them plan future advertising and building relationships beyond the first sale.

Experience in sales, advertising, marketing, hospitality, or customer service is welcome. Whether you have years of sales experience or are ready to bring your people skills into a new field, we’d like to hear from you.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with commission-only compensation and no base salary or draw.
