Advocate ED Peer Support Specialist NCCPSS
Join a compassionate team as an Emergency Department Peer Support Specialist, providing vital advocacy, expertise, and consultation to enhance patient care plans. This role emphasizes behavioral health discharge planning and ensures smooth warm handoff connections to community resources.
Must hold a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (NCCPSS) or National Certified Peer Specialist Certification (NCPSC).
At least two years of experience as a Peer Support Specialist is required, ideally with collaboration experience alongside Emergency Medical Services. Familiarity with mental health and substance use disorder treatment providers, as well as recovery support community members in the Southeastern U.S. region, is essential.
Requirements and Skills:

Knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect patients and families with appropriate services.
