Are you a motivated dental professional looking to expand your clinical skills and gain experience treating a diverse patient population?
An established community health organization in Kansas City, MO is seeking an AEGD Dental Resident to join its advanced dental education program. This opportunity provides comprehensive clinical and educational experience with an emphasis on treating both routine and complex dental cases.
What You’ll Do
Provide comprehensive, patient-focused dental care under the supervision of attending dentists.
Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for routine and complex cases.
Collaborate with attending faculty to determine appropriate treatment options.
Perform dental examinations and utilize X-rays and other diagnostic tools.
Document patient histories, diagnoses, examinations, and treatment plans in the electronic health record.
Educate patients and families on oral health and preventive care.
Participate in departmental meetings and required training.
Complete all AEGD program competency and training requirements.
DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school .
Successful completion of the INBDE prior to matriculation.
Dental school transcripts required.
Four letters of recommendation:
One institutional evaluation letter from the Dean.
Three professional evaluation letters from dental faculty members or mentors.
Personal statement.
Applicants must be U.S. and/or Canadian citizens .
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, dentists, and healthcare staff.
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered oral healthcare.
Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Interest in serving a diverse patient population in a community health setting.
