Plating OperatorWilliams International is a privately-owned company that develops and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. Our culture fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning to position our team members to inspire each other and provide quality products and supporting services that exceed the expectations of our customers.The Operator will work within a team environment and be responsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes supporting the plating line.Duties may include but are not limited to the following:Operation of various computerized automatic plating systemsLoading and unloading of hardware onto and off of plating racksTaping, wax masking, and demasking of hardwareOperation of heat treat systemsMaintenance of chemical processing lines including: Making chemical additions and maintaining chemical tanksPerforming routine maintenance of machines and equipment operatedAssisting with waste water treatmentMaintaining cleanliness in and around the equipmentPerform chemical drainage, tank cleaning, refilling, and chemistry adjustments as instructedInspection and/or test related activities to ensure that parts are plated in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specificationsHigh School or GED required2+ years of prior experience with special coatings, plating, and/or anodizing is preferredWorking knowledge of industrial manufacturing safety requirements or hazardous materials is a plusAbility to follow all safety and planning instructionsAbility to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings, process planning, and work instructionsPhysical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).U.S. Citizenship status required.Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
