2nd Shift Welder Fitter$25-$30/hr+ - El Cajon, 92020 - Mon through Thurs 4pm-2:30amJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled welder fitter to perform TIG/MIG welding on assemblies, assisting the journeyman welder with fit-up and fabrication. This role requires reading blueprints, using fixtures, and operating hand grinders. The position is on-site at El Cajon, CA, four days a week.ResponsibilitiesApply TIG/MIG welds on assemblies.Assist with fit-up and fabrication according to drawings.Operate hand grinders.Weld exotic materials, including alloys, inconel, and 300/400 series stainless steel.Handle different thickness of materials such as.032,.060,.090,.0188.Weld using back gaps.Set up weld machines, including adjusting amperage and interpreting weld symbols.Essential SkillsProficiency in TIG and MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with welding assembly and fixture usage.Knowledge of GTAW and GMAW processes.Skill in welding exotic materials such as alloys, stainless steel, and inconel.Additional Skills & QualificationsOwnership of a personal welding hood.Willingness to work on assigned jobs both inside and outside the welding field.Ability to fabricate parts under supervision.Skill in documenting work, including type of rod used and type of weld.Competence in identifying materials and setting on traveler.Why Work Here?Join a team dedicated to quality craftsmanship in a supportive environment.
