Position Summary:
Counseling In Schools is seeking passionate and enthusiastic people to fill the part-time Group Leader position. This role is critical to the successful operation of the Counseling In Schools school year programs. You will support the Activity Specialist in providing a safe and positive environment for school-age children during opportunities for recreation, learning, interaction, and academic/personal growth. Additionally, you will supervise a consistent group of students, implementing engaging activities and supporting SEL, service learning, and academic enrichment under the direction of the Program Director or Assistant Program Director.
Reports to: Program Director or Assistant Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate group activities and ensure participant safety.
Assist with attendance, documentation, and student engagement.
Maintain open communication with families and school staff.
Qualifications:
At least 18 years old with 2 years of direct experience working with children under 13.
Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Must complete 15 hours of PD annually.
Compensation : $20-$25/ hour; commensurate with experience
