Job Summary:

The After-School Program Attendant supports the daily operations of an after-school program by supervising students, assisting with activities, ensuring safety, and creating a positive, inclusive environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and teens in a structured, fun, and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage with students in academic, recreational, and enrichment activities.

Assist with homework help, group games, arts and crafts, and special programming.

Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at all times.

Monitor student behavior and support positive conflict resolution and behavior management techniques.

Escort students to and from designated areas such as bathrooms, pickup zones, or activity stations.

Prepare and distribute snacks as needed in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Report incidents, injuries, or concerns to the Program Coordinator or Site Supervisor immediately.

Maintain attendance records and help with daily sign-in/sign-out procedures.

Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience working with children (e.g., in a school, camp, or childcare setting) is preferred.

Skills & Competencies Enthusiastic and patient with strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to engage children of various ages in structured and unstructured activities.

Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Basic first aid/CPR certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
