Afternoon CustodianLOCATION: Norup International School Monday - Friday, approx. 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year COMPENSATION: Starting at $18.63 per hour per the current AFSCME Salary Schedule - commensurate with education/experience + benefit package provided in the current AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED preferredGood moral characterAbility to create and maintain good public relationsAbility to understand and communicate in EnglishAbility to clear equipment, materials and methods used in custodial workAbility to work without constant direct supervisionAbility to perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving a minimum of 50 lbs.Excellent attendance recordSuccessful completion of drug/fitness screening and criminal background checkDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clean assigned areas as follows:Sweeping and vacuuming rooms and hallsDusting rooms and lockersMopping bathroom floor, cleaning toilets and urinals and replenishing paper suppliesCleaning whiteboards as necessaryCleaning doors and windowsCleaning entrywaysReporting any needed repairs to custodial supervisorMaintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in their sectionPerforming set ups and takedowns for events and activitiesCleaning up after night activitiesAssisting with snow removalPerforming other duties as assigned
