Job description
Summerfield Schools Afternoon CustodianMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Demonstrated record of successful employment.Communication skills and ability to work in a professional manner, including confidentiality.Ability to work without direct supervision.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors.Ability to read basic operating instructions.Ability to read and understand warning signs.Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength.Ability to cooperate with other staff members.Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary.Responsibilities:Custodial work - clean and sanitize bathrooms, hallways, and classrooms.Assume responsibility for the building's general security.Promptly report needed repairs to the custodial director.Event setup and breakdown as needed.Maintain building and grounds.Perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as necessary to ensure the building's successful daily operation.Other duties as assigned.
