Afternoon Dispatcher & RouterMy name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new full-time Afternoon Dispatcher & Router opportunity available for a major trucking firm located in Kearny, New Jersey that could be of interest to you. The work schedule for this role will be 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The firm is seeking an organized and experienced Afternoon Dispatcher & Router to monitor daily operations and prepare routes for the following business day. The ideal candidate understands transportation operations, driver scheduling, hours-of-service requirements, fleet availability, and route planning.The firm is an established transportation and logistics company specializing in professional delivery, white-glove service, warehousing, and distribution throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.Qualifications:Dispatching, transportation, or route-planning experience preferredKnowledge of DOT and hours-of-service requirementsExperience with Samsara, ELDs, GPS, or similar fleet-management systems is preferredStrong computer, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple drivers, vehicles, and routesStrong attention to detail and communication skillsKnowledge of straight trucks, tractor-trailers, vans, and liftgate equipment is a plusThis position pays $55,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental & vision, PTO, Holiday Pay and a 401K package.
