After-School Counselors Wanted
Beansprouts is looking for part-time After-School Counselors for the school year! Founded in 1980 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Beansprouts offers preschool, after-school, and day camp programming and serves children from ages 1.9 to 9. At Beansprouts, our decisions are driven by what is best for children – from crafting our rich, age-appropriate curriculum to thoughtfully constructing a classroom to represent the unique interests and qualities of our children.

Today, Beansprouts is seeking part-time After-School Counselors to join our after school team for the school year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in education to gain experience in the field and learn from a fun, creative, and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
Engage and support children in play-based activities
Prep and clean up before and after activities
Work collaboratively with other team members
Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
May be required to pick up children from local schools
Hours:
Monday - Friday; 2:30 pm - 6 pm for the school year
10-month school year (plus an option to work with our summer camp program)

Qualifications:
Must possess an Associates degree, be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program, or equivalent
Must have at least 2 years experience working with children
Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 2:30 pm to 6 pm
Must be willing to complete school-related training, IdentoGO fingerprinting, and provide up-to-date medical and immunization records as a condition of employment
Should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and be team-oriented, nurturing, patient, and reliable
Should be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting children and year-round outdoor activities
**As per the Department of Health Regulations, a clearance check and medical will be required for employment.
