Role Expectations
Lead, coach, and develop a small analytical laboratory team, helping employees prioritize work, solve problems, and produce high-quality results.
Coordinate workflow with other team leads to balance resources, improve efficiency, and keep projects moving on schedule.
Serve as Study Director when needed, overseeing studies from protocol preparation through data review, interpretation, and final reporting.
Maintain clear communication with laboratory staff, Quality Assurance, management, and sponsor representatives throughout each project.
Provide technical leadership for analytical testing, method development, troubleshooting, and instrumentation needs.
Promote a strong culture of GLP compliance, scientific quality, safety, accountability, and responsive client service.
Experience Needed
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field with 15 years of relevant experience; master’s degree with 10 years; or Ph.D. with 5 years.
Experience with analytical chemistry, laboratory project management, and regulated testing methodologies; agricultural chemical product development or registration experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of HPLC, GC, and LC-MS/MS instrumentation; hands‑on SCIEX experience is strongly preferred.
Contract research laboratory experience and familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) are highly desirable.
Five to seven years of progressive leadership, team lead, or Study Director experience, along with a practical leadership style and strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
