Role Description
As an Insurance Agent with Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, you will build and lead your own business while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, and businesses across your community. This role is ideal for driven professionals who thrive in relationship-based sales, value independence, and possess a strong desire to help others protect what matters most.
What You Will Do
Develop and grow a personally owned insurance agency within an established, trusted brand.
Build long-term relationships with clients through needs-based conversations, financial protection strategies, and exceptional service.
Provide comprehensive insurance solutions—including auto, home, life, farm, and business—to support clients’ financial security.
Engage in community involvement, networking, and grassroots marketing to expand your reach and increase visibility.
Conduct consultations, prepare proposals, and deliver recommendations tailored to client goals.
Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and consistent activity rhythm to drive business growth.
Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and development programs focused on mastery of products, sales processes, and business operations.
Serve as a trusted advisor who educates clients, solves problems proactively, and delivers a world‑class experience.

Qualifications
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision‑making skills
Experience in the insurance industry or financial services
Thorough understanding of insurance regulations and compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of business development and growth
Knowledge of life, home, auto, and business insurance products
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field a plus
Experience in the financial industry a plus
Certifications such as CIC, CPCU, or AAI are a plus
