About the Role
Our client is seeking a pioneering AI Ethics Specialist to join their fully remote team, supporting initiatives impacting the Paarl region. In this critical role, you will guide the development and deployment of artificial intelligence systems that are fair, transparent, and accountable. You will work to establish ethical guidelines, conduct impact assessments, and ensure compliance with emerging AI regulations. This is a unique opportunity to shape responsible AI practices in a forward-thinking organization from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
Conduct ethical risk assessments and bias audits for AI models and systems.
Advise development teams on best practices for building responsible and trustworthy AI.
Monitor the evolving landscape of AI ethics and regulations globally.
Facilitate discussions and training sessions on AI ethics for various stakeholders.
Requirements
Advanced degree in Philosophy, Law, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on ethics or technology policy.
Proven experience (3+ years) in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their societal implications.
Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex ethical principles into practical guidance.
