AI Technical Consultant – Cloud & Modern EngineeringLocation: United States (Remote) Employment Type: Part-time (3-4 hours per day)Key Responsibilities:Architecture & Solution LeadershipDefine and lead cloud architecture strategies across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems aligned to enterprise standards.Lead modernization initiatives including re-platforming, containerization, and performance optimization.Establish reference architectures and reusable solution patterns.Engineering Excellence & GovernanceImplement Infrastructure-as-Code and standardized CI/CD frameworks.Define DevOps and operational reliability standards.Conduct architecture reviews and enforce engineering quality benchmarks.Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cost management policies.Identify and mitigate technical risks across engagements.Modern Development EnablementIntroduce structured, responsible use of AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.Drive automation and workflow optimization to improve engineering productivity.Establish measurable engineering performance standards.Support teams in adopting modern, efficient development practices.Required Qualifications:10+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or technical consulting.Demonstrated expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud-native architectures.Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code.Proficiency in modern programming ecosystems (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Node.js).Experience operating in consulting or client-facing environments.Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and governance frameworks.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.).Experience supporting regulated or enterprise environments.Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.Experience contributing to pre-sales or technical solutioning efforts.What Success Looks Like:Enterprise cloud architectures delivered that meet defined performance, security, and cost objectives.Standardized delivery frameworks that reduce deployment variability and operational risk.Modernized engineering practices that measurably improve development throughput and quality.Technical risk proactively identified and mitigated before impacting production.Repeatable architectural patterns established for use across multiple client engagements.Recognized as the technical authority on engagements, earning trust from engineering teams and client leadership alike.
