As a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), you will work under the supervision of licensed nurses (RN, LPN, or shift managers) to deliver direct support to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesAdhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention and safe patient handling.Perform basic patient care tasks such as monitoring vital signs, glucometer checks, assisting with toileting, feeding, bathing, and mobility.Collaborate closely with nursing staff to promptly respond to patient needs and enhance their overall experience.Accurately document all patient care activities to support clinical decision-making.Communicate relevant patient information to healthcare team members to improve outcomes and quality of care.EducationA high school diploma or GED is preferred.ExperienceAt least one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.Certification and TrainingIf uncertified or with less than one year of experience, candidates must complete a specialized PCA training academy.
