Job description
Mechanical Assembly TechnicianKey ResponsibilitiesMechanical Assembly: Build tube bundles, heat exchangers, fan assemblies, motors, pumps, and structural frameworks according to engineering specifications.Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and process instructions.Tool Operation: Safely operate pneumatic tools, power drills, rivet guns, hoists, or cranes.Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for alignment, correct fit, and defects, reporting missing or damaged components.Testing: Help perform basic pressure, rotary balance, or functional tests on completed cooling units.Safety & Maintenance: Follow strict OSHA and company safety rules, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and keep work areas clean.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalent.Experience: 6 months to 2 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience (HVAC or heat exchangers preferred).Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination, and basic math skills.Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs.
