Aircraft Structural AssemblerJanicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an Aircraft Structural Assembler on the Swing and Weekend Day Shift to join our growing team. There is a $2 shift differential for all hours worked on the swing and $3 for weekend day shift. This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Aircraft Structural Assembler is responsible for performing complex final assembly for production parts and flyaway composite parts, specifically. Tasks include final fit up, finishing work, drill and tap, final assembly, and bonding of parts.Essential Job FunctionsAssemble and fit aircraft structural parts and subassembliesPerform test fit and gap checks with high tolerancesPerform structural adhesive bonding preparation per product specifications and compliance programsAlign, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power toolsAdjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assembliesLayout and mark reference pointsRead and understand blueprints, isometric drawings and work ordersReceive and carry out directions from designated supervisors, production leads, and cell managersMust understand and comply with safety and 5SMust understand and comply with AS9100 and Nadcap Practices and Procedures as applicableMust be able to read, understand and execute work orders to exacting specificationsMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free conditionPerforms on the job training for project certifications, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as requiredMust work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlinesShall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsMust be at work on time and maintain good attendancePerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3). This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEProfessional experience in complex assembly and aircraft frame assembly/maintenanceRelevant leadership or management experience preferredHigh School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferredOne or more years of experience in related field may be substituted for educationMust have high attention to detail and be highly organizedMust have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languageADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWage range for this role is between $20 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role.
