Job description
Aircraft Maintenance TechnicianThis position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, replacing, or rebuilding aircraft structures, repair parts, and special tools, in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the company, applicable government agencies, and aircraft manufacturers as contained in approved Maintenance Manuals.Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid company holidays401(k) retirement plan with 5% company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesExperience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MRO aircraft companyMust have thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service, including Company policy and procedure manuals, FAR's, AD's, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance ManualsMust be able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawingsMust be efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc., necessary for the accomplishment of duties assignedMust have an understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignmentMust have minimum required toolsMust meet the qualifications to obtain a SIDA badgeHigh School diploma or equivalentShall have a thorough knowledge of work to be performed within a given classification and/or a specialized job/operationMust have demonstrated the ability to use good judgment and make sound decisionsMust possess leadership qualities to include the previously demonstrated ability to cooperate and work with othersMust have the ability to perform high quality work in a reasonable length of time, lead, and direct the work of their employeesMust be able to satisfactorily accomplish all job assignments with little or no supervision or instructionMust have the ability to efficiently and accurately read, interpret, and carry out written or verbal instructions, technical orders, operating procedures, and directivesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day-to-day operation, not determined at time of hireMust be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periodsMust be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heightsMust be able to work with one or both hands extended overheadMust have correctable near and far visionMust be able to hear at conversational level with hearing aidMust be able to lift 25 poundsMust be able to handle and maintain control of small parts and to properly operate hand toolsAircraft maint dutiesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
