Security ScreenerGAT is seeking a highly motivated individual, a self-starter and team player, with a strong drive for results and continual improvement to join its team of aviation professionals. Responsible for identifying dangerous objects in baggage or on passengers and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft. Duties include (but are not limited to) aircraft searches, passenger screening, baggage screening, and/or all. This position requires working in a fast paced environment with time constraints and maintaining focus within a stressful environment that contains distractions, people, and noise. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.RequirementsComply with Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol RegulationExperience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.Must have a High School diploma, GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageCapable of processing information in a timely mannerMust have and maintain a Valid Driver's LicenseAble to proficiently speak, read, and write in EnglishBasic computer literacyPrevious ramp or airline experienceMust successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employmentMust clear a FBI fingerprint background checkPhysical RequirementsMust be physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of timeCapable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces and repetitivelyWilling to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noisesSpecific Working HoursMust be able and flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holiday specific shifts to be determinedMust be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operationsGAT Airline Ground Support, as an equal opportunity employer, makes hiring decisions based on business needs and the best-qualified candidates available and does not discriminate in its employment decisions on the basis of any protected category.
