Housekeeper PositionA client located on the Upper East Side of New York City is seeking a full-time, live-in housekeeper to start ASAP. The client is also open to considering a live-in Domestic Couple if the right match is found. Private housing will be provided for the couple, and a private bedroom/bathroom will be provided for the Housekeeper in the principal's home. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm with flexibility to change days/times when needed.The ideal candidate is an experienced, polished, and professional live-in housekeeper with a strong background in formal homes. This role is heavily focused on meticulous housekeeping, laundry, ironing, household organization, light cooking, and maintaining the residence to the highest standards. The client is open to relocating the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesOverall cleaning and upkeep of the 2,800 sq. ft. apartmentDaily housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining all living spacesCleaning and maintaining the kitchenGrocery shopping and household errandsDeep cleaning of bathroomsWashing, ironing, and changing bed linensMaking beds and maintaining the guest roomLaundry with careful attention to fabric care and washing instructionsIroning clothing to a high standardMeal preparation and light cooking for lunches and dinners, as well as preparing morning coffee.Maintaining organization of the pantry, closets, and storage areasHouse management duties including inventory, stocking household supplies, receiving packages, making returns, and coordinating vendors for repairs when neededDriving the principal for errands or appointments as neededQualificationsHonest, trustworthy, and dependableStrong work ethic with a proactive attitudeExcellent housekeeping and organizational skillsComfortable preparing simple, healthy meals and following recipesAble to read the room, knowing when to engage and when to work independentlyProfessional, discreet, and respectful of privacyExperience as a live-in housekeeper strongly preferredExperience working in a formal residence is highly preferredRequirementsMinimum of 8 years of professional housekeeping experience with verifiable referencesExtensive experience with fine laundry, ironing, and garment carePrevious experience working in a formal private homeCooking experienceComfortable wearing a uniform or black pants with a white blouse dailyStrong English communication skills, including answering calls or communicating with vendors when necessaryProfessional demeanor with excellent communication skillsValid driver's license and comfortable driving in New York CitySalary and Benefits$40 per hour + DOEStandard benefits including:Two weeks paid vacationFour paid sick daysFederal holidaysPrivate housing providedRelocation assistance may be considered for the right candidateOvertime paid when applicable
