Job description
General Psychiatrist
IP Adult-acute and long term patients
acute average LOS is 7-10 days
40 hours/week M-F 8-4p
average caseload is 10-14/day
may be required for on-call coverage for up to one weeknight/week and one weekend/month
Weeknight call: Only from home.
Weekend Call: Go to the site, stop by all units to check with nursing (usually takes about 3-4 hours). The remainder of the day is call from home.
2 hours gratis for in-house, then call back goes into affect.
Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Psychosis, Trauma
2 psychiatrists on staff, social workers, therapists, nurses, primary care docs
3 month minimum commitment will be considered, but 6 months preferred
30 days or less to credential
