Job Description
Occupational Therapy Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide support under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will assist patients in developing and restoring functional independence while adhering to state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.
Responsibilities
Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist's plan of care.
Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with patient and family education to promote understanding and engagement in the rehabilitation process.
Communicate patient status and any relevant updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Possession of an active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or the ability to obtain one.
Strong teamwork and patient care skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals.
