Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a permanent assignment in Republic, Washington.
Responsibilities for a PT:
Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists
Reviews patients' functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever appropriate
Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care
Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients' functional goals
Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
Practices hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans; regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures
Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops; keeps current with professional literature
Acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community
Performs related duties as assigned by management
Meets dress code standards for the department
Checks work email at a minimum of once per shift
Completes all mandatory education within given timeframe
Maintains regulatory requirements
Reports to work on time and as scheduled
Attends annual review and department in-services as scheduled
Attends at least 75% of staff meetings; reviews all monthly staff meeting minutes
Actively participates in the department's quality improvement (QI) activities
Complies with all organizational policies and ethical business practices
Maintains confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy, state and federal regulations, including HIPAA
Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
Requires current Washington State license from the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or application in process
At least one year of experience as a physical therapist preferred
