Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, specifically within neonatal or pediatric populations.
General Information
Unit Specifics:
Patient Ratios: To be determined
Type of Equipment: Servo U & Drager VN500, F&P Bubble CPAP, High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV), Vaportherm, Heliox therapy
Documentation System: Epic
Scheduling Requirements: 7 PM - 12-hour shifts
Patient Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1+ years experience in Neonatal ICU or Pediatric ICU
Qualifications Must Have: At least 1 year of experience in Neonatal or Pediatric Intensive Care
Advanced Skills:
Ability to independently admit and manage ventilated patients in the Pediatric ICU using Servo-U ventilators
Set up and manage Heliox therapy through both invasive and non-invasive methods
Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation, including the use of BiPAP and CPAP
Neonatal skills including the use of Bubble CPAP, Nitric Oxide, and high-frequency ventilation
Certifications Required: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
