Central Sterile TechnicianThis position is available at a facility with 16 Operating Rooms, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, though ambulator experience will also be considered. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.Required Licensure & CertificationsEducation Requirement: High School DiplomaCertification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferredSkills RequiredProficient in decontamination, low-temperature sterilization, steam sterilization, and instrument assembly.Support Within the DepartmentManagerSupervisorLead TechniciansEducatorTechnology/EquipmentElectronic Medical Records (EMR): CensitracSterilizer: STERIS EvolutionUnit Specific Equipment: Vpro x3Sonics x2Cart Washers x2Instrument Washers x3Autoclaves x4 (1 small)Orientation and SchedulingOrientation consists of a couple of weeks on the day shift within the department, after which the technician will move to their contracted shift.Scheduling DetailsWeekend Rotation: Typically every third weekend, subject to change based on paid time off (PTO) requests.Holiday Expectations: Possible but no set requirements at this time.Request Time Off (RTO) Approvals: Managed by the department manager.Shift Times: Varied shifts are available: Evening: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMMid Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMMid Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PMSchedule Cycle: Every 4 weeks, typically released about a month in advance.Additional InformationScrubs: Supplied by the facility.Parking: Free parking is available on the bottom two levels of the parking garage and in the lot behind the garage, with caution advised to avoid parking violations.Unit Culture: A professional environment emphasizing respect among staff.Client Details Address 353 Fairmont Blvd State SD Zip Code 57701 Trauma Level Level 2
