Job description
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is to provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist. This role includes recording treatments administered and noting progress in medical records to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to residents and patients.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.Deliver all treatment following an established plan of care.Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.Monitor patient responses to treatment interventions.Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.QualificationsAssociate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education).Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.Empathy and patience when working with patients.Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises.New graduates are welcome to apply.
