Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care in a dynamic environment, primarily during the night shift.
Shift Details
Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Shift Length: 12 hours
Call Coverage: Approximately 4 days per month on weekends (Saturday to Monday)
Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
Perform various procedures, including drawing ABGs and conducting EKGs.
Utilize equipment, including Puritan Bennett 980 vents, Hamilton C1 CPAP and BIPAP, AirVo, Vapotherm, and Fisher and Paykel Bubble CPAP.
Collaborate with the respiratory manager and lead therapist to ensure optimal patient care.
Provide care in multiple settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and either Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Experience with neonatal respiratory care, including Bubble CPAP and ventilation.
Ability to work independently as the sole respiratory therapist on night shifts, with on-call support.
Additional Information Solid color scrubs required; any color acceptable.
No floating outside the respiratory therapy department unless under extreme circumstances.
On-call response time is expected within 1 hour.
Department-specific orientation provided, with preceptors available for guidance.
