Job Description
Respiratory Therapist (Allied)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in respiratory care and will possess the necessary certifications and licenses to excel in this role.
Schedule
This position features a variable schedule, typically from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM on weekdays.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients based on established protocols and best practices.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and make recommendations for changes in care as necessary.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory therapies and home care.
Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in respiratory care.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Georgia Respiratory Care Professional License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RRT certification.
Holiday Requirements
The selected candidate must be willing to work 2 major holidays out of 3 (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
