Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a crucial role in the treatment and care of adult patients. This position involves working during night shifts, including every other weekend, within a fast-paced environment focused on critical care and mechanical ventilation.
Key Responsibilities
Administer respiratory care treatments to patients, maintaining high-quality standards.
Draw and analyze arterial blood gases from arterial lines and punctures.
Assist with intubations when necessary.
Handle 5-6 ventilators per day, ensuring optimal patient management.
Collaborate with the medical team, including hospitalists and intensivists, for integrated patient care.
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy.
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, and either CRT or RRT (RRT preferred).
Proficiency in critical care and mechanical ventilation.
Experience with adult patient populations is essential.
Work Environment Schedule: Night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, three days per week.
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
Supportive teamwork environment with designated leads on each shift.
Additional Information
Department-specific orientation will be provided. No special dress code required. This role does not include on-call or standby requirements.
