Job description
Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)We are looking for qualified Sterile Processing Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess experience across various aspects of the department, including decontamination and sterilization processes.Key Responsibilities:Decontaminate all items, including drills, Davinci systems, and scopes.Perform sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam methods.Manage High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope handling.Ensure proper sterile storage protocols are followed.Act as an Operating Room (OR) liaison to facilitate communication and coordination.Utilize the Censitrac Tracking system for tracking and inventory management.Move case carts and separate contaminated items, ensuring all case cart needs are filled for upcoming procedures.Respond to OR calls for both surgical floors.Qualifications:Certification is required; candidates must have either CBSPD or CRCST credentials through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM).Experience with decontamination, sterilization, and sterile storage is essential.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Shift Information:This position operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with occasional scheduled holidays.Please note that previous permanent staff and return travelers are not eligible for this position, and travelers who reach the maximum contract limit will not be eligible for extensions or future assignments.Client Details City Columbus State OH
