Job description
Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)Full-time position, 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMThe Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for the following:Decontaminating a variety of items, including drills, Davinci systems, and scopes.Assembling all instruments across multiple service lines, ensuring compliance with trauma protocols, loaners, and peel package requirements.Managing the sterilization process utilizing both Sterrad and steam methods.Expertise in High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing.Maintaining sterile storage areas in compliance with health and safety standards.Acting as a liaison in the Operating Room to facilitate communication between surgical teams and sterilization personnel.Utilizing the Censitrac Tracking system for inventory and tracking purposes.Demonstrating familiarity with endoscope reprocessing equipment such as Medivator and Scope Buddy.Current certification in CBSPD or CRCST is required.Experience in all areas of the sterilization process and sterile processing department.This position involves collaboration with surgical teams and requires a thorough understanding of sterile processes and infection control standards.Client Details City Columbus State OH
