Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is self-motivated and thrives in a collaborative team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and trays for various procedures.Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.Assist in case picking and provide supply knowledge as needed.Contribute to a high-quality work environment aimed at excellent patient care.Adapt to rotate between similar units as necessary.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA is required.Willingness to work rotating weekends and achieve 72 hours of guaranteed work every two weeks.First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have the requisite experience.Unit DetailsThe Sterile Processing Department specializes in a variety of surgical services, including neuro, orthopedics, robotics, and pediatrics, in addition to standard service lines such as urology, general surgery, and gynecology. We prioritize quality and are committed to providing effective training as a teaching department.OrientationDuration: 3-day orientation.Day 1: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Day 2 and 3: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.Technicians will transition to their contracted shift starting Day 4.Additional InformationType of Facility: Level II Trauma Center.Average surgical case volume: 65 cases per day.Average daily tray volume: 1200 trays.Scrub Color: Any color except reddish orange is permitted.Charting System: EPIC.Parking: Facility-paid parking available for staff.City Everett State WA
