Job description

Company Description Marvallous Home Care is a family-owned home care organization serving families across Northeast Florida, with a growing emphasis on medically complex children. The company provides in‑home nursing and personal care so that children, adults, and seniors can remain safe and supported at home. Marvallous Home Care focuses on restoring everyday family life, prioritizing moments like birthdays at home and mornings around the kitchen table. Families are treated as partners in every plan of care, with a responsive local team and leadership deeply rooted in the North Florida community.

Role Description The Alternate Director of Nursing (RN), Pediatric Home Care is a part-time, hybrid role based in Jacksonville, FL, with work-from-home flexibility. This role supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations for pediatric home care services, including medically complex children.

We are looking for an experienced pediatric RN to help lead it. This is a clinical leadership position, not a field nursing role. You will supervise the nurses and aides who deliver care, build the policies they work from, and own the quality of what leaves our agency. You will not be inheriting someone else's standards. You will be setting them.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising and guiding field nursing staff, reviewing and updating plans of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory and agency standards, and participating in quality improvement activities. The Alternate Director of Nursing conducts clinical assessments, provides education and support to families and caregivers, and assists with onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of nursing personnel. This role also involves collaboration with physicians, hospitals, and community partners to coordinate safe transitions of care and maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for home visits within Northeast Florida, and flexibility for occasional after-hours needs.

Must pass a Level 2 background screening per Florida law
