Job description

Aluminum Forging Press Operator (Aluminum Department)Location: Laurens, SCPosition Type: Full-TimePay: $17.00Job Summary:Express Employment Professionals is seeking reliable and motivated individuals for Aluminum Forging Press Operator roles in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating forging press equipment, supporting production processes, and ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial setting.Shift:Monday - Friday5:30 AM - 2:30 PMKey Responsibilities:Operate and support forging press machinery in the aluminum departmentFollow schedules and directions provided by the Forging SupervisorMonitor production and utilize STAIN system for tracking and labeling processesPerform visual inspections of parts during productionComplete machine setup according to setup sheets and specificationsMaintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding work areaCoordinate with forklift drivers for movement of billets and forged partsPerform additional tasks such as loading/unloading ovens, trimming, buffing, and blasting (after training)Complete required quality checks and submit documentation to the Quality departmentCommunicate machine performance and production trends to supervisorFollow ISO9001 quality standards and company proceduresQualifications:Basic knowledge of mechanical forging and production processesAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and team membersFlexibility to work various shifts and occasional weekendsManufacturing or industrial experience preferredSkills:Mechanical drawing: Basic knowledgeMeasurement tools: Ability to use independentlyPLC programming: Basic knowledge preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsFrequent use of hands, tools, and machineryAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 120 lbsRepetitive motion, reaching, and handling materialsWork Environment:Industrial manufacturing settingModerate to loud noise levelsExposure to heat, cold, and dustSafety-focused workplaceAdditional Information:Must follow all company safety protocols and proceduresPPE required at all timesMust comply with ISO9001 Quality Management System standardsCross-training required for multiple production tasksBenefits:Competitive pay (based on experience)Full-time opportunityGrowth potential within the company
