Caregiver PositionHomestead Health Care is hiring Caregivers in our Senior Living Facility in Fort Gratiot, MI.We are looking to grow our team with those who share our passion and enthusiasm by providing the best experience for our residents. As a caregiver, you have the opportunity to provide physical and emotional support to our residents who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from an illness. Additionally, it allows you to develop valuable skills such as patience, empathy, and communication. Experience passing medications is highly desired.Responsibilities:Assisting with care needs, specifically but not limited to: dressing, grooming, bathing, incontinence care, etc.Administering medications and injections, following physicians orders and accurate chartingMaintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeepingAssess for change in condition and communicate immediately to supervisorComplete all required documents and chartingCommunicate in a professional manner with families, support services and coworkersAssist other team members with their dutiesComply with all safety and health standards, including infection control proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorBenefits:ROOM FOR GROWTHPAID TIME OFFPaid orientation and trainingMedical, dental and vision for full time employees after 30hrsRequirements:Able to pass a criminal background checkHigh school diploma or GEDExperience working with the elderly, preferredMust be 18 years oldReliable transportationAble to lift 50 poundsEvery other weekend is requiredA positive attitude and the ability to arrive on time for every shift
