AMA-Certified Medical Assistant - Immediate CareIhlen, MN $37,089 - $46,099 a yearFull TimeJob Summary: This full-time Medical Assistant role involves varied shifts, including three 12-hour weekday shifts from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and two 12-hour weekday shifts plus two weekend shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position supports healthcare delivery and patient management in a clinical setting, adapting daily duties to meet the practice's needs.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal patient parameters to identify those at risk. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines, respond to phone triage calls with reassurance, accurate teaching, and clear directions.Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs and histories, observing and communicating abnormal findings to physicians, and documenting all information accurately in electronic medical records.Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physicals, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, arranging patient testing and admissions, obtaining referrals and consents, and distributing educational materials.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness and sterility of instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed, and carry out other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.Work Shift: Varied shifts within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest United States.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 38 hours.
